About
About
Cochasan Muay Thai (คชสารมวยไทย) is a Muay Thai and boxing gym in Ban Bang La, Pa Khlok, in Thalang District in the north of Phuket. It opened in October 2026: a free-entry opening fight night with 23 bouts and a Muay Boran show on 10 October, then the first classes on 12 October. Founder Kru San says the gym is 15-20 minutes from Phuket airport. Training happens in a large covered, open-sided hall with a ring, a long row of heavy bags and a matted floor. The building also has a pro shop and office, and showers. Group classes run Monday to Saturday, 08:00-10:00 and 16:00-18:00, for all levels. Each session starts with running, stretching, shadowboxing, technique and pad work, has a daily focus (sparring on Monday and Thursday, clinching on Tuesday and Friday, boxing on Wednesday and Saturday) and ends with conditioning and a cool-down. Kids aged 5 to 12 train on Saturdays from 14:00 to 15:00. Personal training is also offered. The four Thai coaches each list around 300 fights, by the gym's count: Kru San, a Southern Thailand Muay Siam champion with 20 years of coaching; Kru Bao (Phet-Ek Kiatyongyut), a Thailand champion at 118 lb and S1 champion at 130 lb; Kru Ek (Thanthap S.T. Lek Phuket), a Southern Thailand Muay Siam and MAX Muay Thai champion; and Kru Roon (Payakarun Petchsiri Gym), a Southern Thailand Muay Thai champion at 52 kg.
