About
About
Sityodtong is the Muay Thai camp founded in 1960 by the late Kru Yodtong Senanan (1937-2013). It opened in Map Ta Phut (Rayong), moved to Naklua about 15 years later, and then to its current grounds in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, on the outskirts of Pattaya. The camp counts 57+ world champions, among them Samart Payakaroon, Kongtoranee Payakaroon, Daotong Sityodtong (its first Lumpinee champion, 1971), Chatchai Paiseetong, Yoddecha Sityodtong and Yodsanan Sityodtong. Training runs Monday to Saturday in two sessions, 08:00-10:30 and 15:00-18:00 (Sunday closed), for beginner, intermediate and advanced students, adults and kids. Trainers offer 1-on-1 private lessons, pad work sessions and small-group training; afternoons include sparring and clinching. Pad work is 400 THB a session (7,000 THB a month for one session a day, 13,000 THB for two) and private lessons start at 800 THB an hour depending on the trainer. The 4-week fight camp (35,000 THB) includes two sessions a day, housing with air conditioning and a fight at Max Muay Thai Stadium at the end.
