About
The Professional Grappling Federation (PGF) bills itself as the world's first jiu-jitsu league: a team-based professional grappling league whose seasons stream free on YouTube. Franchise teams draft their rosters across five weight classes (145 to 205 lbs), compete through a weekly regular season of team match nights, and finish with playoffs for the individual belt and the team title. The league started in Decatur, Alabama, ran Season 9 from Las Vegas in 2026, and grows to eight franchises for Season 10 in 2027: the Las Vegas Kings, Alabama Twisters, Philadelphia Phenoms, Colorado Wolverines, St. Louis Outlaws, Carolina Copperheads, Houston Wranglers and Dallas Mustangs. Athletes earn a place in the draft pool by winning an official PGF qualifier, open to grapplers of any rank.
