About
About
Semtex Muay Thai is a Muay Thai team in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, coached by Steve and Damien Gladstone. The club's logo says it was established in 2003 ("EST.03"). It trains at Underground Gym Tunbridge Wells, Unit 3 on Longfield Road (Colebrook Industrial Estate), a full gym with a boxing ring, a large free-weights floor and free on-site parking. Classes on the gym's timetable: Muay Thai Pad Blast on Monday evenings (simple pad work, no experience needed, no sparring), Muay Thai on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (complete beginners are taken through stance and basics; gloves to borrow), a women-only class on Wednesday evenings, and Kids Muay Thai on Friday after school. There is also a separate sparring class for those who want to take it further. The classes are part of the Underground Gym membership; Semtex also offers personal training sessions. To join, message the team on Instagram or drop in at the gym. Semtex calls itself the "Home of Title holders". In February 2026 Damien Gladstone won the ISKA Muay Thai super featherweight British title at Combat Fight Series 30, on a night when all four Semtex fighters on the card won. The team fights regularly on shows in the south-east of England and beyond: in October 2026 Alyssa won her first Pro-Am fight at Siam Warriors Super Fight in Cork, Ireland.
