Last Warrior Standing (LWS) is a grappling superfight promotion from Tucson, Arizona, and calls itself the premier grappling super fight event in the state. Instead of brackets, each athlete gets one match on a lit stage: 5-minute gi and no-gi superfights (8 minutes for title matches) on a 32 x 32 ft mat with no cage, from youth and white belts up to black belts, won by submission or by a referee decision on aggression, control and submission attempts. Its shows are staged like a theater production, with lights and music, most recently at the Proscenium Theatre on Pima Community College's West Campus. Tickets are sold on lwschampionship.com and through the fighters themselves.
