Srab grew up around Kun Khmer in Cambodia through his grandfather, a celebrated festival fighter, and took his first fight at 15 after training in secret near the Thai border in Surin. After moving to Washington State in 1996 he started teaching out of his backyard and garage, which became South Sound Martial Arts; he still teaches every level in the room. He co-founded USEACA in 2007, is Vice President of the Kun Khmer International Federation, and also runs Srab Sroeuy Kun Khmer Gym in Phnom Penh.
